REASONS WHY SPARROWS ARE DISAPPEARING

       REASONS WHY SPARROWS ARE DISAPPEARING

Do you know that sparrows are decreasing in numbers?

Yes you heard it right the cute little bird we all love are decreasing in numbers due to some reasons which I will be discussing below and also I will put some tips as well to save this birds from going extinct and if we follow some of them it will save the birds.

So let’s see the reasons why these birds are decreasing.

Felling of trees:  Now a day’s in most of the places, Trees are getting cut down in the names of widening the roads etc which in result causing this birds along with other birds to lose their habitats, most of the trees which are getting cut down are without any reason.

Lack of nesting areas : Sparrows makes nests in the side of houses and buildings as well, but nowadays the  glass and steels are used to make marvelous buildings where it is not possible for this birds to build nests because such buildings does not have crevices or nooks.

Lack of native plants:
Today the native plants have been getting replaced by non native plants and it is not good because young sparrows need these plants to become adult.

Cement walls: Use of cement walls around the house may be protective from harmful creatures but it replaces the hedgerows, as I stated earlier sparrows make nests and rests in bushes the lack of these hedges make these birds a easy prey.

Use of concrete: Sparrows take dust baths which allow for healthy amount of oil in their plumage but the widespread use of concrete does not allows this to happen.

Lack of grains: Lacks of the availability of grains are one of the reasons why sparrows lose food because of the packing done in grocery stores with less loss may be good for us but it replaced any option of sparrows to feed on, the packing are done in factory itself so these kinds of packing have reduced the availability of food grains for sparrows (mostly in cities).

Chemical fertilizers: Increased use of chemical fertilizers harms the sparrows and kills them; it also weakens and deforms the offspring’s by polluting the bloodlines.

Radiations: It is no doubt that the radiations from mobile towers etc are harmful for humans and it is very harmful for sparrows and other birds a well, we can see that the sparrows which was in large numbers before the mobile towers in our towns and cities have been got decreased after it.

Also using bird traps and killing them is also a reason in decreasing the number of sparrows.
