Building bird house: Building bird house around homes is one of the options to
prevent sparrows from losing nests.
Putting bird feeders: Hanging or placing
bird feeders outside home is another option, mainly in cities it will help
sparrow get feed.
Planting hedgerows: Planting bushes near walls around houses or in your garden
may help them build nests also prevent them from being an easy prey.
Tree committee: To prevent road side trees from getting cut down without any
reason government should form a tree committee with environmental activists and
whenever there is a need of widening the road etc they should discuss with the
committee members and if it is necessary then only the tree should be removed
from there.
Removing bird traps: There are people who use bird traps and poisons etc’s
considering birds as pests just to prevent them from entering gardens so action
should be took against them and should prevent them from doing this.Using scare crow may scare the birds but will not kill them.
Use of non chemical fertilizers: Using traditional fertilizers
instead of chemical fertilizers is one of the options to prevent foods from
getting poisonous, it also healthier for humans and animals, the fertilizers
like worm fertilizers, manures etc.
I
saw on social media that china killed sparrows in a large number by conducting
THE GREAT SPARROW CAMPAIGN to prevent sparrows from eating grains from paddy
fields and to make more profit out of it but after that they realized that
sparrows eat the bugs and bees as well which cause damage to the plants and
then they brought some sparrows from outer countries. If it is true then we
should not do anything like this ever.
